Ana Fair Añejo Tequila is aged and considered for sipping. This tequila spends at least a year, and often more, aging in small barrels made from old bourbon, cognac, or new French or American oak. The different types of wood account for the Añejo distinctive and unique flavors. The Beverage Testing Institute magnifies Añejo as “brilliant pale golden amber” color. Caramel salt, water taffy, baking soda, geranium, and buttery spiced nut aromas follow through on a soft, supply entry to a dry yet fruity medium to full body with pureed coconut, earthy reed, cocoa, and grilled pepper and asparagus notes. Finishes with a long peppery, cigar box, mineral oil and sweet spice fade. Interesting waves of flavor. International Review of Spirits Award: Gold Medal. Rated 93 points – Exceptional.
